Health & Recreation Fair
Sunday, March 22, from 1-4 pm at the Deer Hill School.
The Cohasset Recreation and Board of Health Departments will be hosting its 15th annual Health and Recreation Fair on Sunday, March 22nd, from 1-4 at the Deer Hill School.
Over the last 15 years, the fair has promoted and increased awareness of all the health and recreation opportunities in Cohasset. The Fair coincides with the very large summer program registration and has recently added Cohasset’s only indoor farmers’ market.
The health component has a wide array of important health screenings, promotional products, and safety information. Cohasset Public Safety is heavily involved with Cohasset Police, Fire, Emergency Management, CERT, National Grid, Mass 911, Boston Children’s Hospital, and both the Norfolk County Sheriff's and District Attorney’s Office.
Local organizations are highlighted each year, including the Swim Center, CSCR, CMI, Sailing Club, ASP, Food Pantry, Scouting America, Launch, South Shore Community Center, the South Shore Music Circus, and all youth sports organizations.
School organizations have used the fair to promote the Cohasset Education Foundation, Cohasset PSO, SEPAC, High School Service Trips, Cohasset Field Hockey, Cohasset Volleyball, and any yearly endeavors.
Many worthwhile and timely programs are the core of the Fair, including 143 Clothing Exchange, 143 TV, The Spot, Cohasset Historical, Alternative Energy, Open Space, Planning, and this year’s Public Safety Group.
We are always proud of the local youth-related businesses that support our fair, including Mathnasium, Cohasset Learning Studio, and the new Crafty Place.
And of course, the fair is a true community program with Elder Affairs, Safe Harbor, Paul Pratt Library joining the fun the Recreation Department provides at the fair, including musical auditions, dance routines, face painting, balloons, magic, and surprise special guests.
