Deer Hill Students can join two of our Rec favorites, Ooch and Magic Joe, on the parent-teacher conference days.
Yo-Yo Workshop
The basic purpose of this program is to teach kids how to become proficient yo-yo players. Brett also focuses on the development of social assets such as goal setting, sharing knowledge with others, self-esteem, and performance skills.
Each child can expect to walk away with (AT THE VERY LEAST) a basic knowledge of how to use and maintain a yo-yo, having learned about 6 tricks ranging from "Walk the Dog" and "Around the World" to "Atom Smasher" and "Brain Twister". Wow!
Magic Workshop
“MAGIC! It’s fun to be fooled, but it’s also fun to learn how. Find out with Joe Howard and his box of tricks. A hands-on magic show and workshop. First, the students will be amazed as Joe demonstrates some mind-blowing illusions. Then, they will be able to amaze their friends and families as Joe explains how the magic is done and supplies them with the materials they need to go home and fool everyone.”
