Please note: students who are newly registering will not be eligible to participate in this year’s May recital.
Class Descriptions:
Hip Hop Tots & Kinder Hip Hop
In this class, dancers will learn the basics of Hip Hop while moving & grooving! This
class will perform 1 dance in the end of the year recital. Street shoes or bare feet are
acceptable for this class. End of the year recital is NOT mandatory.
Preschool & Kinder Tap & Ballet
In this class, dancers will learn basic Tap & Ballet skills. This class will perform 2
dances in the end of the year recital. Tap Shoes & Ballet slippers will be purchased
through Xplosion Dance Center. End of the year recital is NOT mandatory.
Tap/Jazz/Ballet
In this class dancers will continue improving on their Tap, Jazz & Ballet skills! This
class will perform 3 dances in the end of the year recital. Tap Shoes, Ballet Slippers &
Jazz Shoes will be purchased through Xplosion Dance Center. End of the year recital
is NOT mandatory.
Hip Hop
In this class, dancers will learn Hip Hop choreography appropriate to their age level.
They will learn across the floor moves, a center combination & will perform 1
routine in the end of the year recital. End of the year recital is NOT mandatory. Street
sneakers are suitable to wear for this class.
Contemporary
Contemporary Dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of
several dance genres, mostly including Modern, Jazz, Lyrical and Ballet.
Contemporary dance allows dancers to explore their individual dance style outside
of the structure of traditional Ballet and Jazz dance classes. Taking a Jazz or Ballet
class is STONGLY Recommended in addition to taking this class. Dancers will perform
1 routine in the end of the year recital. End of the year recital is NOT mandatory
Pom Dance
In this class dancers will use Pom Poms while working on their dance technique.
Cheerleading is not a requirement for this class. Dancers will perform 1 routine in
the end of the year recital. End of the year recital is NOT mandatory. Street sneakers
are suitable to wear for this class.
Adult Tap
In this class dancers will continue learning and improving on their Tap skills. This
class is perfect for the beginner or intermediate tapper!
